Customer privacy
This local draft explains how MUGABO handles shop and delivery information. It must receive Burundian legal review before launch.
We collect your name, phone, email, delivery address, order details and payment status to take payment, prepare goods, deliver orders, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
During an active delivery, the customer for that order and authorized staff can see the assigned rider’s live location. Riders lose access to delivery addresses after completion. Location history is automatically deleted after seven days.
Access is role-based and logged. Riders never see delivery codes, payment references or customer email addresses. Staff access is limited to operational needs, and administrators require two-factor authentication.
Order and receipt records are retained for accounting and dispute handling. Delivery-location history is retained for no more than seven days. Manual proof-of-delivery images are retained only for the documented dispute and legal retention period.
Authorized MUGABO staff, the rider assigned to your active delivery, and service providers used for hosting, payment communication, email and SMS. Providers receive only the information needed to perform their service.
You may ask to access or correct your customer profile, ask questions about retention, or withdraw optional marketing consent. Legal order records cannot be deleted when MUGABO must retain them.
